How the Alfie Milne Young Investigator Award Helps Fuel the Future of CLA Research

Research Matters - Behind every breakthrough is a researcher asking an important question - and a community willing to believe in the work.

The Alfie Milne Young Investigator Award was created to support early-career researchers committed to advancing the understanding and treatment of complex lymphatic anomalies. These $25,000 grants provide emerging scientists with a chance to explore bold ideas while working under the mentorship of leading experts in the field.

The impact goes beyond one project. Recipients have gone on to publish findings, expand their research, and contribute to the growing scientific understanding of CLAs. Recent awardees have explored disease mechanisms, genetic mutations such as KRAS and NRAS, and models that may improve future treatment approaches.

When supporters give through MDBR, they are not just supporting a single event. They are helping create the conditions for discovery.

Call to action: Support the next generation of researchers. Donate or start a local fundraiser.
