Mitch Maersch
Mitch Maersch cofounded the LGDA golf outing with Scot Wiesner in 2011, the first fundraiser for the LGDA. Maersch is a reporter, photographer and sports editor for the weekly newspaper Ozaukee Press in Port Washington, Wisconsin, covering sports, community news and features, and he occasionally writes a sports/humor column. He has a bachelor's degree in English with a focus on creative writing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He has 25 years of experience in newspapers and a few in public relations. He has served on a handful of nonprofit boards and community organizations. In his spare time, he enjoys watching movies and stand-up comedy, attending sporting events, taking photos, and spending time with his wife and their shepherd/hound rescue, Barney. He recently tried pickle ball and is still in denial of the claim that it's not just for old people.
